The California Baby brand was about the only one we could find initially that used titanium dioxide or zinc oxide. We started out with the fragrance free lotion and it was good at blocking out the sun, but did not completely prevent a tan. It also required a bit more time to apply and was somewhat difficult to apply on the face as it is a bit runny. This cream worked wonders for me after I started using it in January 2007. I am a chronic eczema sufferer - have had it since I was a baby - and have never been able to live without super strength cortisone. I bought these as a gift for someone who has peripheral neuropathy due to chemotherapy. He always feels like his feet are cold. We tried other products including a normal heating pad but these booties do the trick. They get good and warm and soothe the constant-cold feeling in his feet. They aren't quite wide enough for him (size 11), though, they're a bit snug at the ball of the foot. He uses them dry with socks. He likes that they're separate so he can move his feet around a bit when he has them on. They seem to be made pretty well (although the strap that holds the tops together is kinda goofy, he doesn't use the straps). Best of all they work for him! My wife has chronically cold hands and feet in which only direct, high heat seems to work. I have purchased heated socks which she complains don't get warm enough.
